How to Do Magaluf on a Budget

Planning Magaluf on a budget for your friend group or hen/stag do? Magaluf is definitely the cheaper option for a party holiday compared to pricier places like Ibiza and Mykonos, so you’re onto a winner. The nightlife is peak and the vibes are on point.

Let’s take a closer look at doing Magaluf on a budget so you can make the most of your Euros!

✨ Looking to make the most of your trip?
👉 Book Magaluf Boat Party tickets here — the official 3-hour sunset cruise with live DJs, a swim stop, free welcome drink, paella and included afterparty. Great value even on a budget!

Magaluf Beach

1. Hit the beach (for free!)

Playa de Magaluf beach is stunning, with its golden sand and turquoise water (not to mention the people watching).

There are beach bars offering decently priced drinks and snacks, but if you’re going all in on your budget-friendly trip, do a supermarket run or smuggle food from your all inclusive breakfast (we’ve all done it).

For a change of scenery, try Palma Nova Beach. It’s the neighbouring resort so only a short stroll away – equally gorge but a little quieter if you fancy a serious chill.

2. Pre-drink before the Strip

Bar prices vary in Magaluf, but you can keep things cheap by grabbing drinks from local supermarkets before you head out, or making the most of your hotel’s drinks offers or all inclusive beers.

Be aware that shops are banned from selling alcohol between 9:30pm and 8am due to stricter alcohol regulations in Majorca (or Mallorca to the locals). And remember not to peak too early!

3. Seek out cheap drinks deals

If you are drinking on the Strip, keep your eyes peeled for:

  • Happy hours – although happy hour drinks deals are officially banned due to regulations against binge drinking, many bars have good food and drink offers in the early evening hours, between 5pm and 7pm.
  • Wristband deals – some of the bars and clubs offer drink deals or discounted entry when you buy a wristband – pricier upfront, but it can work out cheaper overall so look into it.
  • Local beers – save money by drinking local beers instead of the better-known brands you drink at home.

If you’re budgeting for experiences, booking the Magaluf Boat Party early not only saves money but guarantees your spot — it’s one of the most popular budget-friendly activities in town. 👉 Check dates & secure your ticket here.

4. Book activities like boat parties in advance

Boat parties are one of Magaluf’s biggest attractions and they do sell out fast. Booking early saves your place and avoids disappointment!

Our Magaluf boat party runs seven days a week from April to October. For just £65, you get:

  • 3-hour sunset cruise
  • Free welcome drink
  • Live DJs
  • A swim stop
  • Fresh paella
  • Fully stocked bar, including cocktails and spirits
  • Stunning sunset views
  • Free afterparty entry
  • Souvenir t-shirt

Book now to secure your spot for a £20 deposit per person.

5. Eat like a local

A lot of the hotels in Magaluf are all-inclusive, so your food should be sorted. If not, self catering can be a good shout. Pick up supermarket snacks or enjoy well-priced authentic Spanish food at less touristy spots like Restaurante Casa García’s or Casa Diego.

Look out for “menu del día” lunch offers, where you can fuel up on three courses for around €10 – €12.

6. Find free (or cheap) nights out

You don’t always need a ticket to one of the nightclubs to have a great night out. The Magaluf Strip is full of bars and smaller venues where you can dance until late without paying for entry.

Promoters often hand out free shot vouchers or 2-for-1 wristbands along the Strip, which can reduce the cost of nightclub entry, so look out for offers!

7. Explore during the day

Even when you’re not partying, Magaluf has plenty to do without spending loads.

  • Go for a coastal walk to Portals Nous for stunning scenery and yacht spotting.
  • Split the cost of a paddleboard or banana boat for a cheap thrill.
  • Look into discounts offered by holiday companies or hotels for attractions like Katmandu Park.

8. Stay in one of the party hotels in Magaluf

When the party is happening in your hotel, you don’t have to venture far or spend much to have a sick time!

Check out our round-up of the best Magaluf hotels for party lovers, featuring spots like Hotel Samos and INNSiDE By Meliá Wave Calvia Beach.

It includes hen and stag friendly options, and many of the spots have great pool parties for free daytime fun.

Ready to do Magaluf without overspending?

You don’t need to blow the budget to have an epic time in Magaluf, just plan ahead and keep an eye on your spending.

  • Book early – the earlier you book flights, hotels, and events, the better the deals.
  • Stick together – splitting taxis, accommodation, and bottles means everyone saves.
  • Stay central – being near the strip cuts down on late-night taxi fares.
  • Swerve cash machine fees – if you need cash, use ATMs attached to banks, not the standalone ones that charge for every withdrawal.
